Wych Elm GlampingTerms & Conditions

​

It is our aim to make your visit to our yurts a beautiful experience that you will treasure for many years and wish to repeat time and again. However we must ask that you read and accept the following terms and conditions and house rules which must be complied with by all persons visiting Wych Elm Glamping . These enable us maintain our standards, to assist in proper management and ensure your safety as well as establishing a clear legal contract for cancellation, damage and exceptional circumstance. By you booking with us, either through our website, Airbnb or Trip Advisor you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions and House Rules.

Arrival:
All Yurts are available from 4pm to 6pm on day of arrival and must be left in a clean condition not later than 10am on day of departure. you must check out by 10 am or you will be charged £10 per hour for overstaying.

Departure:
On departure all yurts are to be left clean and tidy. All rubbish is to be disposed of responsibly in the bins situated in the car park.

Booking:
Booking and payment is considered the establishment of a legal contract, which includes that you have agreed to our Terms and Conditions.

Cancellation by You:
We understand that circumstances change and emergencies occur. A full refund will be given if you cancel any time up to the last 7 days before your holiday is due to begin .

If you cancel within the last  7 days we will refund 50%. Less than 2 days notice there will be no refund made.

All deposits are non refundable.

Cancellation by Us:
Extreme Conditions: Wych Elm Glamping reserve the right to cancel a holiday in light of extreme conditions of: weather, terrorism or war. In any of these very unlikely circumstances your full Payment will be returned to you. Emergency Contingency: Wych Elm  Glamping reserve the right to cancel a holiday at short notice if for unforeseeable circumstances we are unable to provide safe accommodation in a yurt due to extreme conditions, ill health, fire or administration or any other extenuating circumstance. Under such unlikely circumstances your full payment will be returned. Wych Elm  Glamping cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss caused by cancellation.

Breakages and Damage:
If on your arrival you find any items or fittings, utensils, crockery or cutlery is broken, damaged or missing, please report it to Glenn or Jane and it will be replaced. We do accept a degree of wear and tear but should any significant damage or breakage occur during the period of your stay you will be held responsible for and must make good to the lowest market value. We reserve the right to charge for excessive cleaning where a yurt has been left in an unacceptable condition, through waste, litter, interference in the structure, movement of furniture and contents etc.

Individual Yurt:
The yurt allocated to you on confirmation of your booking is provisional and we reserve the right to alter this to an equally suitable yurt on arrival if necessary. All yurts are identical except for colour and position in the field. The doors to the yurts are not standard door heights, please mind your head on entering and exiting the yurt. Please always close doors to yurts and toilet and shower facilities if it is raining and/or windy. Please remove your shoes before entering the yurts. Wych Elm Glamping   accept no responsibility for injury incurred on site.

Children:
The site is an amazing place for children to play but you are responsible for them at all times. Please be aware of the wood burning stove inside the yurts, (please do not place anything on top or near the wood burning stove to dry) and the tripod BBQ outside. Children need to be warned and supervised at all times during the use of the wood burning stove and outside BBQ. Wych Elm Glamping accept no responsibility for injury incurred on site.

Pets:
STRICTLY NO PETS except Hawthorn Yurt will accept well behaved dog.


Terrain:
The Yurts are located in a meadow field with some uneven ground. Bring appropriate footwear. Wych Elm Glamping accept no responsibility for injury incurred on site.


Peace and Tranquillity:
Anyone committing a nuisance contrary to the peace of Wych Elm Glamping   will be asked to leave immediately and without a refund.

Please do not attempt to cut down trees or collect wood from the wooded areas around the perimeter of the yurts meadow. Anyone committing a nuisance by damaging the fauna and flora contrary to the peace of Wych Elm Glamping   will be asked to leave immediately and without a refund.

Maximum Occupants:
Under no circumstances may the maximum number of 6 people including children (No more than 4 adults)  sleeping in each yurt be exceeded.

Negligence:
Guests will be held responsible for any fire, damage or alteration to the structure caused by negligence.

Facilities:
Wych Elm Glamping provide the use of the converted horse box with  toilets, showers and washing up area situated on site. Please note: These facilities are for booked Wych Elm  Glamping guests only and must be left in the manner in which you would like to receive them. Please do not mix your rubbish/waste with the recycling. Please use the correct recycling bins provided for the correct waste. Please do not wash food waste down the sink in the horsebox, please use the bin provided. THE TOILETS ARE CONNECTED TO A PRIVATE SEPTIC TANK AND BECAUSE OF THIS YOU MUST NOT PUT ANYTHING DOWN THE TOILET APART FROM TOILET PAPER ( a reasonable amount of toilet paper to avoid blockages)


Combination door locks:

All yurts are fitted with a 3/4 number combination door lock/bolt. You will receive you 3/4 numbered combination on arrival.


Stolen Property:
Wych Elm Glamping   cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property.

Smoking Policy:
Wych Elm Glamping have a strict NO SMOKING POLICY (including vaping). Smoking in any of our yurts will result in a fine of up to £100 in order to clean to a satisfactory standard. Anyone who smokes outside of the yurts is responsible for disposing of their cigarette butts in a supplied ashtray and NOT littering the surrounding area of the yurt as it is a fire risk to dried grass.

Wildlife:
There is an abundance of wildlife on site. Enjoy it but be careful. Put your food in plastic sealable containers or cool boxes otherwise mice will try and eat it. Don’t leave garbage/food waste outside of the yurts. Rats and Foxes will scatter it. We advise you to bring insect repellent in the summer months, horse flies, midges and mosquitoes appear. Wych Elm  Glamping accept no responsibility for injury by wildlife incurred on site.

Parental Supervision:
Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children on site.

Hunting, Fireworks:
No firearms, hunting paraphernalia or fireworks are permitted in the Yurts or on Wych Elm Glamping grounds.

No Fire Policy:
Fires are restricted strictly to the wood burning stoves and Tripod BBQ's only. There is a metal bin for use of discarded ash from the wood burning stoves and BBQ tripods. Do not put discarded ash from the wood burning stoves or BBQ tripods into the plastic waste bins.  Only KILN DRIED WOOD (we can supply you with kiln dried wood, kindling and firelighters at a cost) to be used in the wood burning stoves (this reduces build up in the flue system and reduces the risk of fire). No candles are allowed in the yurts as they are a fire risk. No Chinese lanterns are allowed as they are a fire risk.

Yurt Structure:
It is prohibited to interfere or adapt the structure of the yurt in any way (please do not place anything on top or near the wood burning stove to dry). Please do not hang anything from the internal roof structure or external structure of the yurt, this includes clothes, towels, bathing or wets suits etc.
Unloading:
Guests are welcome to park in the gravel car park in order to unload heavy bags. Under no circumstances may you drive onto the grass or up to the yurts.

We provide a PINK wheelbarrow for you to transport your luggage from the car park to your yurt.

Car Parking:
Please park your car in the car park. Wych Elm Glamping accepts no responsibility for any damage caused while your car is in the car park.

Age Policy:
We do not accept bookings from anyone under the age of 18 and we do not accept Hen and Stag parties.

Cancellations due to extenuating circumstances:

We do not offer refunds due to global pandemics, government lock down unless we are unable to open due to being closed down by the government.

For illness, car accidents

or any unforeseen circumstances, please make sure you have holiday insurance in place.

Wych Elm Glamping House Rules

​

  • Fires are restricted strictly to the wood burning stoves and Tripod BBQ's only. No open fires or fire pits are allowed. Please only use KILN DRIED WOOD for the wood burning stoves (this reduces build up in the flue system and reduces the risk of fire).

​

  • There is a metal bin for use of discarded ash from the wood burning stoves and BBQ tripods. Do not put discarded ash from the wood burning stoves or BBQ tripods into the plastic waste bins. We also can empty the wood burning stove and BBQ tripods if required daily.

​

  • Smoking is permitted outside but strictly prohibited inside the yurts and horsebox. Please don't drop cigarette butts. Anyone who smokes outside of the yurts is responsible for disposing of their cigarette butts in a supplied ashtray and NOT littering the surrounding area of the yurt as it is a fire risk to dried grass.

  • No candles are allowed in the yurts and no Chinese lanterns as they are a fire risk.

​

  • Please do not drive on to the grass.

​

  • Strictly no fireworks and no hunting/shooting.

​

  • Please, as you would at home, remove shoes before entering the yurt. You can keep your shoes inside (of course).

​

  • You may want to bring a camping stove but please do not use it in the yurt or horsebox & please do not store it in the yurt or horsebox It is a fire hazard and a carbon monoxide hazard. If you bring your own camping stove, please do not place used gas bottles (ones that are for your camping stoves) in the rubbish or recycling bins. We cannot dispose of them. Please take them home with you for disposal.​


  • Parents must supervise their child or children whilst using the toilet. If the children are older, then parents must check the condition of the toilet after the child has finished. There will be a £25 cleaning charge for any unacceptable mess left in the toilet.

  • The showers must be left in a clean state.

​

  • The kitchen area must be left clean and tidy.

​

  • All crockery and cutlery used must be cleaned and dried and returned to its original position before leaving.

​

  • Please use the washing up bowl provided to do your washing up so as not to waste water. Please conserve water and do not wash food waste down the sink.

​

  • When going out for the day or leaving, please ensure that you close the front door of the yurt and make the windows watertight by putting the see through windows on or by rolling down the external covers (it may rain whilst you are out for the day).

​

  • Please keep the doors to the horsebox and toilets closed at all times. Please remember that on leaving the horsebox/toilets to turn off taps, showers and the solar lights.

​

  • Please do not attempt to cut down trees or collect wood from the wooded areas around the perimeter of the yurts meadow. Several trees have been damaged in the past.

  • Please do not hang anything from the internal roof structure of the yurt, or the outside structure of the yurt. This includes clothes, towels, bathing or wets suits etc.

  • Please do not mix your rubbish/waste with the recycling. We keep finding glass bottles/food tins/drinks cans/plastic bottles in with rubbish. Please use the correct recycling bins provided for the correct waste.

  • Please do not leave food or food waste outside of the yurts. Rats and Foxes will scatter it. Use an appropriate container such as a cool box or plastic container with a sealable lid. Please do not use plastic bags.

  • ​

  • Please pay for all wood, firelighters and charcoal used during your stay before you leave or you will incur a £10 admin fee which will be deducted from your damage deposit along with the cost of the goods and any damages.
